This course is designed for participants of all skill levels. The aim of the module is to enable participants to gain the required basic theory and practice on electronics that will provide knowledge on troubleshooting i.e. fault finding, testing or even building a simple electronic circuit
Duration
Weekdays: 1700hrs to 1900hrs
Saturdays: 0800hrs to 1600hrs
Total hours will be 90 hrs
Outcome
After completion, trainees should be able to:
- Use and read a testing instrument
- Calculate the value of a resistor/capacitor using colour codes
- Detect a fault in a circuit
- Interpret a drawing using electronic symbols
- Differentiate between low and high voltage
- Solder electronic circuits
- Implement relevant safety practices
- Apply Ohm’s laws where necessary
Entry Requirement
At least Junior Certificate with Maths and Science.
